Betrayed. Every American knows the meaning of that word.
Trump betrayed his oath of office.
Trump betrayed the people.
Trump betrayed the nation.
Trump betrayed our national security.
Trump betrayed our allies.
Trump betrayed our election process.
Trump betrayed our constitution.
Trump betrayed the rule of law.
Trump's entire life has been about betrayal, unfaithfulness, broken promises, deception, dishonesty, trickery and treachery. To put it bluntly, Trump has been a traitor of all things his entire life. Trump is a traitor.
Let that be written in the Articles of Impeachment for all time.

(70,076 posts)i really, really want one count that he is unfit.
he corrupted a navy officer to get him to lie from the wh podium about his exam which was specifically supposed to prove his mental fitness for command.
this is a thing. this is not just- went to the doc, and he said maybe i should give up the car keys.
this is- is this commander mentally and physically fit for service? they do these all the time. there is a standard protocol.
i really want them to subpoena the records from that exam.
then i want them to subpoena dr ronnie feelgood, and ask him just how he came to be nominated to lead the va. he should die in the brig.
it's a small thing, in all of this, but it is a perfect example of the corrosive atmosphere that has permeated this admin from DAY.ONE.

(4,379 posts)By definition Trump is a traitor and the news media should have labeled him so long ago.

(2,654 posts)I think Trump's acts in pursuing Putin's interests in Ukraine and Syria, as well as Trump's joining in Putin's efforts to blame Ukraine for meddling in our 2016 election, are indeed treasonous.

So who on earth thought Trump would not betray his oath of office, his nation, and the people of the United States?

(6,846 posts)then it would, but I can't find that it's been done yet.
Apparently it originated on Twitter with Lonnie Hicks? So I suppose he's have a say in putting it there.

(43,123 posts)That is the issue. Sovereignty. Self-determination. Democracy by the people.
You know who Republicans side with. You know where Trump stands. Choose your side.

(756 posts)If the Articles do not mention Emoluments and abuse of power, particularly the usurping of the Congresses power of the purse.
If the next Prez can get away with moving money appropriated for vets or fire fighters or solar power, then build space Force or new roads to the next trump tower or a new bridge to nowhere.
If that then there will be no need for a
Reichstag fire.
Congress's power will be further compromised.
