Why Are Senate Republicans Suddenly Running Away From "Ukraine Did It!"

One day after Sen. Kennedy from LA meekly pushed the Putin driven narrative that Ukraine interfered with US elections in 2016, he retracted it and admitted he was wrong.

In the last two days, both Romney and Graham have denounced the theory pushed by Putin.

This is a big shift from recent weeks and is sudden.

Could Adam Schiff have revealed to Senate Repubs that the evidence is damning and they have yet-unreported communications among the President's conspirators? It is coming out today that these records exist including WhatsApp communications.

If Chairman Schiff did advise Senate Repubs to back away from this defense, it could be a damning consequence for Trump and others in the administration.

Do recall a former Senator's comment about being a Senator. It is a Ego position and the Power is over whelming. You are one of a hundred most powerful people or so on the Planet.

And most Senators will do what ever it takes to keep that power.

That's Chuck " I never saw a false equivalency I didn't accept as a legitimate argument" Todd. I'm still a bit shocked he didn't just roll with Kennedy's "alternative facts." Too crazy for even ole Chuck is quite a hurdle.

the stupid narrative going around despite what our 17 intelligence agencies said, that Russia via Putin interfered w/ our elections. Plain and simple and he looked like an idiot on national TV. I wouldn't be surprised if Schiff has more information not revealed publically that perhaps they all now have access to.

The man went to Oxford for Christ's sake...the "I'm just simple country lawyer" schtick has never rung true and he did, indeed, look like a complete jackass when Chuck "I'm so middle of the road, I'm a dead armadillo" Todd called him on that line of complete horse hockey! I'm wondering if Maria Butina received the Order of Lenin when she got back to Russia because she did her job exceedingly well!

My friend tried to tell me that he was a dumb hick. A dumb rube.

I asked my friend if he knew anything about Kennedy's background (Education)?

He said no.

I told him to take a gander at it, and after that, remember me telling you that it's hideous that someone as with his educational background, whose supposed to be a Senator, has even opened that slack-jawed pie hole to push that Ukraine interfered into our 2016 election MESS knowing that the Ukraine didn't 'help' the Dems nor Hillary Clinton with SHIT during the 2016 General Election. No, Kennedy is just as TREASONOUS and as anti-American as tRump and his fellow tReasonous tRmputin lovers. They're all complicit, and they don't give a FUCK if this country turns into a ruskie banana republic, being run by ex-KGB'er putin, whose obese crazy buddy tRump owes him the WORLD quite literally ....

All of those tReasonous fucks need to rot in hell. Not just for this treasonous act of saying that OUR intel agencies are wrong or lied about the ruskies being the ONLY culprit to actually jump into our elections like they were US citizens, but for purposely DENYING people LIFE-SUSTAINING & LIFE-SAVING health care as well.

But isn't it interesting the way all these rugged, he-man, independent cusses all decide to do the same thing at the same time, over and over again? A cynical person might ascribe it to a herd mentality, almost sheep-like behavior. But that can't be right, or the media would have mentioned it long ago.

ALEC (which is paid by hidden donors, big business)
Federalist Society (hidden donors)
NRA (Russian $s)
Murdoch/Koch/Mercer/Thiel $$s
USSR/putin/oligarchs

But someone has to pull all of these threads together. It can't just be a mess of US-haters acting independently.

Be on the right side of infamy; or be buried by it.

They can decide to do the right thing and abandon this miserable pile of excrement in the White House, or they can go down in history as the ones who enabled these crimes against our democracy. Choose Wisely, Republicans.

to perpetuate the Trump MAGA Myth as long as possible, because after the impeachment is over, no matter the outcome, they can blame Democrats for it. Whereas if they accept the inevitability of impeachment now, it becomes legitimized. So I think this is an end-game-end-game they are playing. How they think the general public will ignore all the evidence, indictments, convictions is beyond me, but the GOP from their actions truly believe that Corporate PR techniques - deny, dismiss, obfuscate - will control any adverse situation or facts every time.
