There's no reasonable defense, yet the vote (in both the House and Senate) will be almost entirely along party lines. The Republican Party has long been ethically bankrupt and out to do whatever it takes to undermine trust in the federal government and democratic institutions.

then the Democratic response should be:

This is the last piece of evidence needed to demonstrate that the Republican Party
has become a criminal organization.

The Democratic members of the House of Representatives have upheld their oath
of office in pursuing impeachment, and they have tried to enforce the rule of law.

It seems that the only way the law can be enforced now is through the voting process.
The citizens of America are now handed the task of removing the criminals.
We are the last defense against corruption. VOTE!!

There isn't a snowball's chance the GOP votes to convict their Great God Trump. Let's keep it real, here.

Lock him up.

Will the RushAblican Senators betray their Oath of Office to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and the Rule of Law by aquitting their mob boss on that charge?

It is a federal crime to intimidate or seek to intimidate any witness appearing before Congress. This prohibition applies to anyone who knowingly “uses intimidation, threatens, or corruptly persuades” another person in order to “influence, delay, or prevent the testimony of any person in an official proceeding.” Violations of this law can carry a criminal sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
