Republican bomb-throwers prep impeachment spectacle

All the #morons seem to be on this committee

Republican bomb-throwers prep impeachment spectacle
Some of the most colorful GOP lawmakers in Congress serve on the House Judiciary Committee, and they're ready to aggressively defend Trump.

They’ve gotten into shouting matches over whether socialists are Nazis. They’ve clashed with the parents of children who died from gun violence. And they’ve insinuated that a key witness was having an affair on the eve of a marquee hearing.

They’re some of the most colorful Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee — and these lawmakers are ready to bring their antics to the next act in the impeachment saga.

The committee is home to members of the hard-line Freedom Caucus like Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Louie Gohmert of Texas, leaders of key conservative groups like Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona and Mike Johnson of Louisiana, and firebrands who have a flair for the dramatic like Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida.

All of them are fierce defenders of President Donald Trump, and all are promising to hold nothing back as the impeachment proceedings shift from the House Intelligence Committee to the Judiciary panel.

“It is our duty to raise every parliamentary and procedural maneuver that we can that’s legitimate,” said Biggs, who chairs the House Freedom Caucus. “Not to be dilatory, but to legitimately point out how flawed this process has been and how weak the Democratic case is. We will do that aggressively and assiduously.

“Let me put it this way: It will be better TV than the Schiff hearing,” he added.

Matt Cap'n Kangaroo Gaetz! I wonder if he can put a complete sentence together.

They will have to deal with people who have very high IQs... could be problematic for the clown show participants.

And there's a few others from Intel I've very happily put on Judiciary for this particular spectacle rather than the ones presently there.

Ted Lieu, Eric Swalwell, Jamie Raskin, Hakeem Jeffries, Dave Cicciline, Pramilia Jayapal, Mary Gay Scanlon, etc. Nadler is smart and a nice guy and would be good in normal times, but I'm not sure he's strong/tough enough to keep a handle on things.

here is the democratic membership:

Jerry Nadler, New York, Chairman
Zoe Lofgren, California
Sheila Jackson Lee, Texas
Steve Cohen, Tennessee
Hank Johnson, Georgia
Ted Deutch, Florida
Karen Bass, California
Cedric Richmond, Louisiana
Hakeem Jeffries, New York
David Cicilline, Rhode Island
Eric Swalwell, California
Ted Lieu, California
Jamie Raskin, Maryland
Pramila Jayapal, Washington
Val Demings, Florida
Lou Correa, California
Mary Gay Scanlon, Pennsylvania, Vice Chair
Sylvia Garcia, Texas
Joe Neguse, Colorado
Lucy McBath, Georgia
Greg Stanton, Arizona
Madeleine Dean, Pennsylvania
Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Florida
Veronica Escobar, Texas

Gym may wear a shirt two sizes too small so folks will be distracted by his bulging biceps and pulsating pectorals. Gohmert will spend most of the meeting hiding the fact that he's picking his nose. Gaetz will be passed out by the second hour.

They'll overreach. It's what they do.

Better tv - what a fucking joke on the constitution is the Russian Repug party at this moment - totally subservient to the worst person in the world & his ugly fucking fat non-stop barking dog drumpf. They hate the truth, hate our laws, hate our country & are subservient to the worldwide oligarch who is plotting our destruction and the benefit he will gain from it. Repugs are so stupid they think he likes them & promotes them out of pragrmatic policy syncs, when he is just using them & will destroy them as well. They are just so stupid puppets.

Disgusting.

Silver lining: the more clownish they act, the easier it is to dismiss any point they thought they were making.

I swear that if the orange one did shoot someone on Fifth Avenue, they’d be standing there telling us it didn’t happen and the person probably deserved to be shot anyway.
