Just shut down a brown shirt whining about Michelle Obama's speech...

Brown Shirt post: "Lets not forget who she is married too, the greatest speech giver of all time. I am sure he wrote her speech cause that is ALL Obama is good for.

My response: Clearly, you have never given a speech before in your life because if you had you would know that you don’t get a delivery such as the First Lady gave last night if you don’t mean everything you said and if it doesn’t come 100% from the heart. Yep, the White House employs great speech writers, but if the words aren’t delivered with passion and authenticity, no one is going to pay attention. As we saw last week, even Oscar winning actors can’t pull off a great or even decent performance if they can’t find some emotional component that they can identify with in the script. You’re right, at their base speeches are just words, but when they are put together and delivered with passion they become uplifting, inspiring, authentic, oratory. But the First Lady’s speech isn’t what you’re upset about is it, Sengmoo? Your anger isn’t really about Michelle Obama so much as it is about the inability of your party to deliver an authentic message or for your candidate to even give the appearance of believing what he says. What makes you angry is that if you in all your entrenched, locked stepped, identity as a Romeny supporter can see how appealing and authentic the other candidate is despite what you’ve been trained to believe, then what about the rest of the voters out there? The answer: Yes we can.

And so they go after Obama being a great communicator. Without realizing that they were cheering their empty-headed idol "The Great Communicator".

I would love to read it. I don't doubt that she has the capacity to write it - especially when she delivered the speech in such a heart felt manner. A video of this speech should be mandatory in all Speech and Persuasion classes.

I believe it was a cbs article. It said she worked on it for a month. Her delivery was great. That can't be taught, it came from the heart. That's something they don't have. I'll look for the article.

Michelle Obama’s poised and powerful convention address — which CBS reported she wrote herself — also very likely went over well with at least one family watching at home.

Sorry to let facts get in the way of your rant. I know that in some minds it's difficult to believe that a woman can do things on her own - and do them well."

He just trolls Salon.com. I've never seen a pro-anything post from him. He just lives to tear people down. I probably should have just ignored him, but ignoring them doesn't make them go away - it just makes them think that people can't rebut their BS.

Michelle had been working on the speech for over a month.

She's a graduate of college and law school. I bet she knows exactly how to write a persuasive, impassioned speech, especially about someone she feels so passionate about.

That it's almost hard to believe that a graduate of Princeton and Harvard could write something that common Americans could identify with, but he would probably come back with that "liberal elitist" BS. I figured, keep it simple. Any nuanced traveling beyond point A to point B hurts their reptilian brains.
