College football has gone over the edge.

The kicker for Alabama, and not even the one who missed the kick against Auburn, has been getting death threats. They are threatening him and his family if you can believe that.

This country has lost its mind! Most of the Alabama fans I have met are really nice people who are serious fans, but not crazy. They need to collectively call out those fans who are doing this on social media. If they can be identified and have tickets they should lose them for a while to think about what they did. Adults doing this, good grief.

At the OU OSU game, an OSU fan was videotaped flipping off the OU band, and saying some pretty nasty stuff to them.

OU has them too, we have tried to call them out as have others, but most of them didn't even go to OU, they are just classless fans who don't know how to behave.

That was such a horrible low for "fans" of the same team as me and my husband. We got pissed over the call, cussed a bunch at the TV, but the game ended and life moves on, for non-violent people.....

I took my friend, also an OU alum, to a WVU vs OU game in Morgantown a few years ago. Someone said “welcome to Morgantown!” I replied “oh I live here.” He shouted: “well fuck you then, bitch!”
I remember a letter to the editor from Miami fans regarding OU fans. They commented on how classy the fans were everywhere in Norman.

in the 1986 World Series leading to the Red Sox losing to the Mets, Buckner got death threats from Red Sox fans.

And, of course, that pales in comparison to Andres Escobar of Colombia getting killed after scoring an own goal in the World Cup in a stunning loss to the upstart US team

I would guess that neither of those people actually attended their respective universities.

Donald Trump is the actual President of the United States of America. And more than 50 million Americans will vote for him to be re-elected; they thinks he's the best POTUS we ever had.

Chrisley Knows Best is in it's SIXTH season, with no signs of slowing down.

Store bought boobies and hard-on pills are making record profits.

The percentage of human beings who are convinced we faked landing on the moon is increasing, not decreasing.

It ain't just one area, like college football, that's hosed. It's the whole shootin' match, the whole kit and kaboodle.

As I see it, The Dumbasses ain't just winning my friend-they've won.

Many of them of sidewalk 'alumni' (no ties to the skool other than what momma and diddy liked back when the bahr coached there) with not much going for them. Because they measure a lot of their self worth based on the performance of their favorite semi-pro team, they are naturally 'upset' and of course they're gonna share their feelings with the kicker.

This is the same school that produced Harvey 'I poison oak trees because my school lost a football game' Updkye. The same Updyke that has been treated like a rockstar at home games in t-town after his destruction of Auburn's historic oak trees. Of course those same fans cheering on good ole Harvey are gonna threaten an 18 year old for missing a FG.

I hate it for the kicker. Saban, if he's man enough, should call those idiots out in public - but at the end of the day he's a weasel that hides behind the podium and complains of 'unfairness.'

He said in order to identify as a "fan" and actually BE FANATICAL, a person would have had to have been a student of that university for even just a summer session. I know that is not the whole story, and it would be impossible and a violation people's rights, but it was totally tongue in cheek, (and he's a liberal college professor, the terror of all conservatives).

He was also giving me and him an out for cheering pretty hard for our individual Alma Maters.

On a more serious note, I attended an SEC university in the early to mid eighties and was in marching band. We would go to one out of town football game per season and one year our trip was to another SEC school. The band got lit cigarette butts thrown onto us off and on during the game.

I am not under any illusion that my school didn't have a bunch of asshole fans too! They are still embarrassing as HELL.

People are just getting meaner and nastier and there doesn't seem to be any explanation. You could probably spend a lifetime or two trying to figure out where society went off the rails and it would still be impossible to point out. My guess would be 40 years of 24/7 unhinged, unchecked far right propaganda but that's just me.
