Good for her.

She was there with Trudeau, Macron, and Johnson in the little huddle!

All those capes, and then the coats worn as capes, and the way she wears her coat indoors, and last year, a heavy coatdress in the summer. I wonder if she's trying to cover something up? (bruises? a few extra pounds?)

"I really can't stay - I have somewhere else to be". Can't be bothered to take one's coat off = passive/aggressive insult to one's hosts, IMO. It's her way of distancing herself.

Princess Anne, the Princess Royal and only daughter of the Queen, can be seen on the left-hand side of the frame, waiting to enter Buckingham Palace’s state rooms.

After greeting the US President and the First Lady, the Queen looks at her daughter, seemingly unamused.

The monarch then appears to be gesturing for her daughter to join the receiving line and point at the Trumps.

Princess Anne, 69, replies to these gestures by widening her arms.

She’s too well educated to give him the finger. But that’s exactly what she’s doing.

Not that I really had a favorite royal before this incident, but I do now. I love people who say "fuck protocol" whenever this buffoon is around.

I may have to re-subscribe just for that. I loved Princess Margaret's character - she was quite rebellious as well. Who plays Princess Anne in the series? Do you know?
