I just dont see it, the Democratic source said about advancing impeachment before Christmas. Its too big.
The breaks appear to be being applied. BTW, I just follow Chad on Twitter because he seems to have shown he knows the inner workings of House timings in and out. Please forgive the source. Chad appears to be one of the legit few journalists there.

(1,835 posts)and Chris Wallace are legit journalists as well.
Also, worth nothing that there is nothing definitive on the schedule. So, it's confusing. Chad is helpful in this regard

(1,835 posts)It really is more of a tabloid trash version of a RNC mailer lol. Disgusting but yeah for us parliamentary process nerds, Chad is and has been wonderful.

(14,898 posts)The GrOPers will go full McTurtle with a "We can't impeach someone in an election year!!!1!!!!1!!" argument, but they have also already telegraphed that their Senate trial strategy is going to be super-fast, super-shallow, get-it-over-with-asap-so-we-can-take-the-PR-hit-and-move-on.
In light of that, spilling out more and more evidence over months and pushing the Senate trial closer to the election period (and possibly after many primaries) *may* be beneficial.
It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of thing. The "correct" answer is only available in hindsight and maybe not even then.

(1,835 posts)Have final court orders for the tax returns, the unredacted Mueller report, and ordered witness testimony by then if we do wait.

(26,044 posts)This thing needs to be slow-walked to hell and back while we build a more-overwhelming case. At this point, rushing things only makes it easier for Repugs to quickly dismiss the charges.

by mid-april most will have passed, i would expect maximum impact for the trial to hit the senate somewhere between mid april and mid may. how will these senators vote without the fear of a primary from the right? will they appeal to base and acquit or try to sway independents and vote to remove? also how sweet would it be to ruin red dons convention with split screen trial in senate.
