Denmark can do better. They should have held the conference and refused to censor the speakers. RainCaster Dec 2019 #15
Or they could have continued, just disinviting the American ambassador. Fully justified. ancianita Dec 2019 #16

Grease the wheels and gears to your benefit then relentlessly trash and smear anyone else involved in the project.

Me, me, me, my, my, my - fuck everyone else. With a smile and a hand shake,... as you stab everybody else in the back as soon as they momentarily glance the other way.

how an "ambassador" has veto power here? Couldn't this have gone on with "objection duly noted?"

They ought to have held the conference exactly as originally planned, including the disinvited speaker, and made it clear to the U.S. Ambassador that she could either like it or lump it.

Let her throw whatever kind of snit-fit she wanted to throw, ignore it, and carry on with their business like adults.

Trump's ignorance and pettiness should not be indulged under any circumstances!

People want to be energized in their gatherings, not dragged down by having to suffer the insufferable.

I can't say that I blame them, if that's their reason, which works to harden world resolve to force our ambassadors to understand other countries on those countries' terms.
