If there is enough money in the trust fund for 20, 25, 30, 35 years or whatever, then why is Social Security in trouble and need to be fixed right now? Maybe next, someone could state that "Social Security is in trouble down the road only because our Living-Wage-Jobs have been shipped over seas and the fix for Social Security would be to get them back into this country! Sounds reasonable to me.
We've got 25 years to fix this, no need to panic.
