Something That Puzzles Me About Trump And His Biden Investigation.....

I just don't think that Trump - by himself - even knew that Joe had a son named Hunter and that he was on the board of Burisma.

So how did Trump get turned onto that? Somebody had to put the bug in his ear. Was it Rudy? Was it Putin? Oppo research?

Who tipped off Trump in order for him to want to follow-up on that line of so-called investigation? I don't believe he's smart enough to come up with this on his own.

The same kind of simmering resentment that Obama's White House Correspondence piece that embarrassed Trump has motivated Trump's entire Presidency.

It is all tied together. Watch some of Rachel Maddow's analysis of the situation. She has her quirks but she prides herself and her staff on the tightness of their information and will correct herself if she has gotten things wrong.

Maddow has been tying together all of the players from Ukraine and Russia related to Putin's desire to regain status, his use of Russian and Ukranian Oligarchs to enrich himself and get more power in the region, the utter dependence Russia's economy has on Natural Gas (Remember that Burisma is an energy company) with the various Russian and Ukranian companies like Naftogas which Parnas and the other guy Igor.

Trump is generally an idiot, but it seems that once he has adopted a position that he thinks will bear fruit, he tends to dig in like a tick. So he will just repeat the one or two lines he remembers from the situation and go with it. No substance, no understanding, just a couple of sentences that he will keep repeating over and over. If he gets challenged on the situation he can't explain anything or refute any of the inconsistencies in his story, he just says things like, "a lot of people..." and "people are saying..."

He is nominally in charge, in terms of what he wants from the situation but people like Gulianni and Barr are driving this and Putin has his people trying to assist.

Paul Manafort was pushing the unfounded conspiracy theory — now part of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump — that Ukraine hacked the Democratic National Committee's emails as early as 2016.
