They should put bribery as a separate count. They want to lose the impeachment trial. Tired of the dems not fighting with real goals. Yaay, we filed an impeachment.

Congrats, it is so vanilla that everyone will just shrug it off.

The emoluments violations, Mueller Report findings, and the Stormy Daniels NDA are easy to document, and if they were named in the articles it would mean that the Republicans would have to defend these issues in public, which is a no win situation for them.

I'm glad the contempt of Congress charge is included. The argument is clearly connected to the separation of power principle, making it hard for even a partisan Supreme Court to undermine.

So while there are some opportunities lost to document the criminal actions of the president, the House leadership deserves credit for taking the heat and moving forward with articles. We, the base, better make sure that there are no Democratic defections from voting yes on impeachment!

When the House itself votes on these and passes them, that’s when we violate our diet and pop the champagne cork!

But the runway’s in sight and landing sequence has begun.

An impeachment for Christmas! My stocking’s full!

Another Trump ally, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), called the articles of impeachment “a baseless attempt to upend the will of the people less than 11 months before the next election.”

The will of the people is the candidate who got 3 million more votes you clueless fuck!

Joy in that justice may happen does not deny the systemic abuses which brought up to that point, nor does it minimize or trivialize the gravity of those abuses.

You can only dismiss this as politicized if you totally ignore the evidence presented against Trump. To say there's no evidence because there's no taping system, as Tom Brokaw argued last night, is ludicrous.

But living in Thailand, even if I busted my budget I can't get good champagne. I guess I'll have to settle for plain old wine and drink it in my souvenir glass from La Champenoise in Reims, 2017.
