One small possibly positive result of the impeachment.

Once Republicans legitimize the obstruction of Congress by the president, that becomes a viable option for future presidents.

The next time Republicans hold the house under a Democratic president they will probably start frivolous impeachment proceedings immediately but the president will be able to ignore them since it has been officially set as the new standard.
