shithole Hate Radio.
Why are the most powerful radio stations in blue cities broadcasting nothing but right-wing, racist, rural hate?
Do New York and Los Angeles have a major Tractor Supply Center consumer group?
Why do almost 100 diverse universities broadcast their sports programming on racist, hate-spewing rural centric radio stations?
Next time we have a "Million-Something" March, maybe we should march on the offices of some of these stations.

2) They're not profitable (directly) but good investments for those want a fascist America.

(16,078 posts)there are liberals in conservative states as well.
I'd like to see some progressive/liberal radio get the same sort of support as right wing radio. Fact is, it was a decision by some people who wanted their agenda pushed and it worked.
Maybe there could be a similarly good result if someone decided to fund and keep liberal radio on the air in the same way all of the hate radio was pushed.

Democrats won the midterm elections by 9 percentage points .
Progressive cities are economic drivers of the entire country. If we ever decided to, we could crush Hate Radio, or at least shrink it to the point that you could drown it in a bathtub.
It's one thing to claim that free speech protects Hate Radio. It's quite another to sit idly by and do nothing as they curbstomp the very cities that are their bread and butter.
Hate Radio has been yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded movie theater for long enough.

In the current system, the electoral college values land mass over population.
I do my part, by voting Democratic in a purple state (Iowa could go either way most of the time) and I don't know how to fix it, but it won't get any better if more and more people keep moving into highly concentrated urban areas. That also cedes a lot of power to the right wing. Hate radio is part of it, another part is proximity.
