Rudy Giuliani and his estranged wife Judith Nathan settled their contentious divorce Tuesday, according to Judiths lawyer.
The parties resolved their divorce today, together with all issues concerning support, assets and any other claims. Mr. and Mrs. Giuliani intend to remain friends in the years to come, and they wish each other the best of luck in the future, said attorney Bernard Clair.

Judith filed for divorce in April 2018 following the pairs 15-year marriage. They reportedly have $30 million in property and assets.

The 75-year-old former New York City mayor, who now works as President Trumps personal lawyer, was doling out $42,000 in monthly support payments to Judith, his lawyer said at the July hearing.

(9,426 posts)a woman of loose morals. Didn't she move into the Mayor's residence, while his previous wife was still living there? This was before the divorce. Finally, she is getting the big payday she always wanted. Such a shame, since these two seem to be a "match made in Heaven" Both will do anything for $$$$, rubles or whatever the Yugoslavian monetary system uses. Maybe she decided to take what she could get, before he has to spend what is left on lawyers.

The division of assets and debts is a standard component of any divorce proceeding. Is there a suggestion that you have for how they should split their wealth?
By the way, what's Yugoslavia got to do with anything?
Don't misunderstand me: I've hated Giuliani since he was a grandstanding prosecutor. He was an awful mayor and his moment of fame during the 9/11 attacks was entirely phony. However, I don't understand your sarcasm about their legal proceeding.

(9,426 posts)"wife" I may have been sympathetic. Face it, she is and always has been a gold digger. Rudy is no prize, but she bulldozed her way into his family in the worst way. Yes, I HAVE been through a divorce. We did not have many assets, just a house with a mortgage. He left me with three kids to raise alone. He NEVER visited the kids, never set foot in the house in 12 years, then wanted it sold to split the proceeds with him. My lawyer stopped that, I got the house. I have absolutely ZERO tolerance for gold diggers. They reflect badly on honest women.

Actually, you and I are in accord: the Giulianis deserve all of the shit they're swimming in.
So does Trump.

(9,426 posts)former escort/nude model is treated like a special person as first lady. Imagine a democratic politician running with all the baggage tRump brought along with him? No way would they have made it past the first attempt at taking any office. I still would like to know how her parents afford the lifestyle they live, in tRump Tower, back and forth to Florida.

(61,690 posts)Even his philandering isn't the worst thing. Trump is a remorseless cheater, liar, crook, bully, con man.
core values, no ethical standards, no feelings for anyone except himself. He is without a soul. Unfortunately for us, he is surrounded by equally empty people.

(4,168 posts)They were married for 15 years and own significant assets. "High maintenance" is a snarky, misogynist way to define "her fair share of assets".
Their divorce is a standard legal procedure. How else would they divide their assets and obligations?

(17,235 posts)When a person is blowing through nearly a half a million per year to live, something just isn't right.

(4,168 posts)The amount that she is receiving is based on the size of the assets, not on what she does with that money. It doesn't matter if she's blowing it on rent boys and champagne or giving it all to charity. It's HER share of the money, and it's really nobody's business what she does with it, and whether she "needs" it or not.
