Trump: Abusing power 'not even a crime'

Washington (CNN) - Donald Trump is looking to survive impeachment the same way he built his powerful presidency -- by assaulting facts and seeking to expand the limitations of the office he is accused of abusing.

On the day that Democrats proposed two articles of impeachment against him, the President and his courtiers laid down a fresh fog to obscure the evidence that incriminates him.

The President also issued a mocking defense of his conduct at a rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Tuesday night -- arguing that the charges that he abused power and obstructed Congress are "not even a crime."

"Everyone said this is impeachment-lite. This is the lightest impeachment in the history of our country, by far. It's not even like an impeachment," Trump said.

he's safe from legal action for his rampant and blatant criminality. Repugs are content to go along with him because they too are traitors to our constitution.

the distortion of using generalization more than anybody ever in history and everybody is saying that.

Too bad he has to overdo it. Well, maybe not. Perhaps people should notice the problem with deletions, distortions and generalizations more? They make for brevity, but when used indiscriminately, they often are very inaccurate. When used intentionally, they can be very manipulative. We have a tendency to distort our communications in order to convey a message quickly because, often, to be more accurate and precise requires far more detail and so, it is a matter of context.

Everybody knows that you should always know that. People are saying that you can never do nothing about anything at all. They are the people who can never say everything about it anything. You can never not do more than anybody.

When it is used the way Trump does, it becomes a farce, but still allows what he says to be process language. That is, communication with very little content which allows the listener to fill in the meaning easily. Take note of that, it is common in politics and advertising. It is a tool of manipulation and requires one to be vigilant.
