Back in 2008, didn't loathsome Darrell Issa

say that House Republicans were looking for reasons to impeach Obama, or maybe that was in 2010 right after Republicans won back the House?

Was just wondering if people are using "Republicans will impeach every Democrat from now on..." argument. They were looking to impeach Obama and found nothing to impeach him over.

I tried google, but can't find the exact quote or issa mentioning impeachment, but I could swear he said it

In 2010, Rep. Darrell Issa said Obama could face impeachment after Rep. Joe Sestak claimed the White House offered him a job to prevent him from challenging Arlen Specter in a primary.

Perhaps this is what triggered that memory?

Rep. Wilson shouts, 'You lie' to Obama during speech

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A Republican House member shouted, "You lie" during President Obama's health care speech to Congress on Wednesday, and members of both parties condemned the heckling.

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn said "what we saw tonight was really bad manners."
Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "you lie" after President Obama denied the health care plan would cover illegal immigrants.

After the speech, South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing for his outburst.

"This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the president's remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill," the statement said. "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."

This was after I read that he was a Lebanese-American born in Toledo. I'd sometimes throw in "Where's the dress?" if some rube defended Issa and Gowdy's nonsense.

Congressman: White House Job Offer to Sestak May Be an 'Impeachable' Offense
By | Fox News
Rep. Joe Sestak's allegation that the White House offered him a job to drop out of the Pennsylvania Senate primary race against Arlen Specter is a crime that could lead to the impeachment of President Obama, Rep. Darrell Issa said.

But the decision by the Pennsylvania congressman not to elaborate on a so-called deal also could become a political problem as Sestak tries for the U.S. Senate seat.

The White House reportedly is going to formally address the allegation in the next few days. In the meantime, Issa, R-Calif., is one of many inside and outside Washington who want the Democratic Senate primary candidate to explain in detail what offer the White House made.

"It's very clear that allegation is one that everyone from Arlen Spector to Dick Morris has said is in fact a crime, and could be impeachable," said Issa, who is threatening to file an ethics compliant if Sestak doesn't provide more details about the alleged job offer.

Issa compared any potential cover-up to the Watergate scandal of the Nixon era.the White House Tuesday of a cover up similar to the Watergate scandal. "It's not about what was done wrong. It's about the cover up," Issa told Fox News. "And right now, there's a cover up going on at the White House 10 weeks after the allegation."
