Darrell Hammond on Hardball...hmmmmmm

Did you see it? Did you read his book?

His book was mostly about how fucked up was, and always showing up at gigs wasted. Supposedly, he's gotten over that. After watching him with Tweety tonight, I'm not so sure.

He was abused and beaten as a child. He was drugged up and/or liquored up all the time on SNL, to the point that he got fired. But they brought him back because of Clinton, and his fans loved his Clinton impersonations...and he just got more fucked up. No one has heard from him in a while...after this performance with Tweety, I don't see him getting a whole lot of new bookings.

Didn't see this one but he always gives the impression of being uncomfortable being himself.

Tweety got goofy about stuff with him...sounding like the drunk uncle at the party...suggesting things like "pretend you're Cheeeney declaring a war". It was a bit surreal.

Also Hammond is not a very good impromptu...more comfortable with a script.
