That would be far better than having a show trial of Biden and Ukraine which is all drumpf wants - have McConnell * Senate Russian Repugs election interfere for 2020 for him. Drumpf wants to convict them 1 - to steal the election and stay out of jail and keep his stolen $$, 2 - out of arrogant pride 3 - to remove sanctions from Russia as he promised before Vlad takes action against him or maybe to receive the bribe offerred?

If only it was. Even Chief Justice Roberts will preside over the rules determined by the majority on the senate judicial committee.

As for how we react, I'm imagining the usual circus, with agitators poking sticks at the animals, the clowns bouncing off the walls, aerialists doing their thing from above, and audience watching it all and throwing in an occasional interjection.

It's handing Trump a "TRUMP VINDICATED" headline, which he will ride all the way to next November. We'll see.

Every one of our candidates should be HAMMERING the same thing: WE tried to do the right thing, but Moscow Mitch stepped in and subverted the will of the people. Not only are they NOT draining the swamp, they're aiding and abetting corruption. Republicans put Party over country and Party over the rule of law. The Party of Russians. You know, that type of thing.

If we sit back and allow the media and the right-wingers to scream, "VINDICATION!!! HE'S INNOCENT!!!" then we deserve to lose. The Democrats need to make him wear this impeachment albatross around his neck for the ENTIRE campaign, and we need to tar and feather Republican Senators as co-conspirators. That's how we win.

Come to think of it, why not just run the Republican playbook from the 2000 election after THEY impeached Clinton with no hope of getting a conviction in the Senate. Turn their talking points back on them.

Tell the GOP you can let him off, but if you do he will not be one of three presidents impeached-we will make him the only one impeached multiple times. He IS the worst and deserves to be remembered that way.
