I finally watched the Eastwood "speech" - been traveling - my wife, daughter and I

sat there, I suspect, with a suspicion of "WTF" on each of our faces. What an incoherent, slightly (or more than slightly) insane, disconnected ramble of ....what, really? Lots of projection (all of the "what did you say? I can't do that to myself" nonsense - as if Obama would stoop to the classlessness of Cheney), some simple and stupid slogans.

But mostly, I thought, here is the embodiment of the dying right wing. Here is the presage of the coming extinction of intolerance, greed, and hate. All rolled up into the pathetic scene of an old man yelling at an empty chair.

Bear in mind that making movies is a complex process that requires a great deal of forethought and planning.

He punctured both Romney's speech and the RNC very handily and with a great deal of plausible deniability.
