This "person" is running against Joachin Castro in the Democratic Primary next year:

Justin Lecea

"I do not support our current two party system and disapprove of the leadership of both political parties, and how little they are doing to solve the problems that the average American is facing. However because of the nature of our political system I am running as a Democrat"

I do not support our current two party system and disapprove of the leadership of both political parties, and how little they are doing to solve the problems that the average American is facing. However because of the nature of our political system I am running as a Democrat as they are the party that my policies most closely align with.

and he identifies as a "democratic socialist"

I may be introverted, pessimistic and cynical, but what distinguishes me as a democratic socialist is how passionately I believe in the need for both society and the state to serve the needs of all people equally, and not just a privileged few, and it is this honesty and willingness to work for the good of all people that I promise to take with me to Congress.

He’ll still lose handily but some Republicans might have a little fun with the votes.

I don’t understand the purpose of open primaries. It just seems like an invitation to get the opposing party to nominate the least qualified person for the general.

In other words if they vote for a Democratic candidate and there is a runoff let's say between 2 repubs, the operation chaos mobsters cannot vote in that election if they voted for a Dem, they will have to vote in the Democratic primary if there is a runoff.

Fortunately he's too stupid to disguise himself in a better wrapping, and with luck he'll get tired of losing the first time.
