They do show the court case numbers, but reveal just the overview. For the full story, one would have to physically visit the courthouse, or be a law-enforcement officer with access to far more extensive databases/files.

this is kind of just a driver who is an asshole. They are everywhere.. nothing too newsworthy or weaponizeable there, too me, given that everywhere he is seen or heard it is already clear that he is an asshole.

Speeding, entering freeways without yielding, and who knows how many were DUIs that got buried due to his connections? He’s a menace on the road, recklessly endangering the lives of others.

Yes, unfortunately, the charges lack the high-octane punch that would nail him to the barn door, but it reveals a pattern of risky behavior that puts others in deadly jeopardy.

It may seem like small potatoes, but Gaetz let loose with the Hunter Biden ”crack-pipe” riff, starting his screed thus:

“I found this very extensive profile in the New Yorker. Hunter said that at [one] point he had not slept for several days, driving east on Interstate 10 just beyond Palm Springs he lost control of his car which jumped the median and skidded to a stop on the shoulder of the westbound side,” Gaetz said.

Gaetz went there, and in lurid detail. Imagine if a Democrat had run down this roster of Gaetz’s infractions, instead of the oblique reference to “pot calling the kettle black.”

Now this is a tough one. Some legislators threatened to withhold state road funds from Leon County if it didn't flatten speed bumps on a popular route to the Tallahassee airport.

Sen. Jim Horne, the powerful Republican budget chairman, rattled his teeth, I mean, his sword, at the Leon County Commission. The commission responded by howling tyrant and spreading tea leaves across the speed bumps, evoking the Boston Tea Party.

Now, I am reliably informed that the speed bumps on Lake Bradford Road make it seem as if you are rolling down a rocky hillside. And there is some question as to why they were thought necessary in the first place.

Still, the legislators may look like a bunch of belligerent bullies even though such people as John Gidusko and Doug Bishop would see them as wise solons.

The speed bumps were put in to slow traffic on Lake Bradford Road, a short cut to the Tallahassee Airport from downtown with a lot of student and local pedestrians and a school zone. There had been a lot of problems with people - some recognized as legislators - speeding through the school zone and endangering children. The speed humps were mostly placed near in and in the school zone, but rather than slow down, apparently the legislators who cut the funding for Leon County and Tallahassee state road would not slow down enough to make the humps not as uncomfortable to drive over.

Funds were cut for a while, but bad publicity got them reinstated eventually - but the funds withheld were never made up by later payments. Thanks, Florida Republican legislators, for endangering children and decreasing the quality of roads in our very small county.

with certain software. Which doesn’t mean he didn’t drive the wrong way on the freeway at some point. His father has made many of these infractions “go away” before they get on the books— or if they are entered, the offense is probably lessened.

Doing a quick search of the internet, I was unable to uncover any reliable source that would document “wrong way” incidents by Gaetz. Again, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen...
