And those ignorant believe it, they make a lot of noise about it, and of course that is another lie from republicans.

"a system of government that is run by the worst, least qualified, and/or most unscrupulous citizens."

The Republican Party is dominated (in both public office and in the electorate) by lying, cheating, greedy, hypocritical, fraudulent, anti-intellectual, science-denying, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic assholes.

But, aside from that, they're okay. And Democrats must find a way to win them over.

There's no hope for the vast majority who haven't realized by now what a disaster Trump and the Republicans are. The only exceptions might be youth with still-developing brains.

We need to prioritize tackling systemic racism and sexism (which, in time, would lessen individual racism and individual sexism), media reform, and education reform (make media literacy mandatory curriculum, more civics, greater access to higher education, etc.).

Climate change denial, opposition to universal health care, opposition to equal pay, wealth inequality and so much else stems from racism and sexism, because racism and sexism is the foundation of Republican support. People are blinded to reality by racism and sexism, or the belief in a hierarchy with white, cis-gendered males on top--a hierarchy they see as both natural and threatened by "libs." With a significant reduction in racism alone, the Republican Party would cease to be viable as a national party. Bust up the foundation and the structure will collapse.

With their belief in "alternative facts," disparagement of the educated, and wholehearted embrace of a corrupt leader, it's pointless to attempt meaningful dialogue with a Trumper, who will only rain abuse on you. The place to beat them is at the polls, and anyone who cares must go there next November...
