Mitch McConnell: 'I'm not an impartial juror' 😠

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, speaking after policy lunches today, admitted he's not impartial juror.

"I’m not impartial juror," he said. "This is a political process."

The Kentucky Republican continued: “I would anticipate we will have a largely partisan outcome in the Senate."

“I’m not impartial about this at all," he added.

of the truth.

Just so long as he knows that the House's outcome and process were NOT biased or prejudiced, that that process was a focused investigation (other than Trump's obstruction) of Trump's (frankly obvious) criminal behavior.

6. Perhaps if you admit that you cannot be an impartial "juror", then maybe you should recuse yourself?

Senators like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham have as much stated that they cannot be a fair and impartial juror, as the Constitution requires. Should they not recuse themselves?

obligated to honor the oath to uphold the constitution.

Well, alrighty then. So why DO we do that silly swearing in stuff then? He just indicated that it had no meaning... not mandatory. Just something silly that politicians have to do in order to get a cushy job with free healthcare and great perks.

Ok. Good to know. All that swearing and oath taking and silly us believing they meant it.
Don’t I feel foolish?

I really hope to see you get what you deserve in this lifetime so that we can all bask in your pain and humiliation.

Honestly though, can he really get away with this? Isn't it a requirement that a juror either makes an oath to be fair and impartial or recuse oneself?
