He suggested Debbie Dingell should not have voted to impeach because he ordered flags lowered after her husband's death.
He simply can't help himself. His demands of loyalty are the same thing. He lives in a world of you owe me.
Something else will tumble out. You can bet the farm on it.

(115,659 posts)like ordering the flags to be flown at half-staff for Dingell - something that would have been routine and done by any president for someone of Dingell's stature - creates, in his mind, a situation in which you owe him something in return. No matter how small the perceived favor might be, you're still going to be indebted to him, and you'd better show your gratitude. Just because he authorized the flags to be lowered for Dingell, he believed Dingell's widow was required to be loyal to him, so her vote to impeach infuriated him.
