I couldn’t look at, listen to, or read the news for several months afterward.

I took him with me when I voted in our recent local election. Two of our neighbors are poll workers (and Democrats!) at our polling place. We saw another neighbor there. My son proudly wore his “Future Voter” sticker for the rest of the day! We frequently discuss politics and policy.
Well-educated children are our future!

When she started school and when I started working, I would wait to vote until I picked her up. I wanted the importance and privilege of voting ingrained in her.
