was not mentally stable. Do recall he making similiar remarks when the Steel Industry was moving off shore.

It is all about being competitive in the World Market Place. As the article states, out modded plants and equipment. Well,a prefect poster child of how a negative effect what Management does with Stock buy backs with Tax Cuts.

Our Steel industry as a whole is doomed until money is invested in Plant and modern technology . Until then,we are the world's Dumping Ground.

Ross comment, well those laid off Workers can get jobs at GM and other Auto Plants. Yay right Wilbur, whole different Skill Set which requires training time.

Those sources didn't go away when we finally took some half hearted measures, thru tariffs, to revive the failed industry. Our ancient steel plants are no longer competitive. Our lacksadasical steel managers are no longer on the cutting edge of the technology.

So a demand is there but the US steel industry, ignored for so long, can't compete with their antiquated methods and equipment. Some huge investments into manufactoring plants, technology and management are required to bring this ignored industry back to competitive status. Tariffs alone can not revive an outsourced, offshored, ignored industry.

Good article for describing why tariffs alone can not revive a neglected industry.
