Anyone else watch 20/20 with Jim and Tammy Faye?

I know it’s a rerun but I hadn’t seen it. You know, I was literally having a baby while they were going down; I have a newspaper from the day my younger son was born and they were the big story. But I’d forgotten just how crazy and vicious Falwell was to them. He literally came in and took over. It’s like watching a bunch of hyenas fight over a corpse.

My son is a grown man, Falwell’s kid is as vicious as his daddy, Jim is selling apocalypse kits on Pat Robertson’s shows, and #IMPOTUS got in on the grift. And here we are.

Somehow it makes me feel better. We’re not more spectacularly stupid now; the people who want to take us to the cleaners are just better and have technology. I know, “we.” But it’s people. And people can be real vultures.

5. I saw that 20/20 when it was on TV the first time.

I would recommend the documentary "The Eyes of Tammy Faye."

It complicated my views of the people involved. (p.s.: they are still crooks).

There was lots of weird stuff going on at the time. Iran Contra, Jim and Tammy Faye along with other weird televangelists.
