According to Trump, we have to flush our toilets 15 times after eAch use and our dishwashers aren't allowed to use any water. Also we have to press 12 buttons.

Going off the deep end. The direction and momentum is evident to all. The point of no return is fast approaching. Don't fight the trend, not even with thoughts and prayers. Insanity is the final defense. It's coming.

have the first name that fits with Quixote. And Melania makes a good Dulcinea.

For those not familiar with the story beyond the jousting with windmills, Quixote was a middle aged deranged country gentleman after the age of chivalry who believed it was his calling and destiny to bring back those times.

In his insanity he saw a local peasant girl with loose morals as the Medieval ideal of purity in women and chose her to be his pure lady love that he called Dulcinea.

imagined days of past glory. The contrast between the real woman and Quixote's imagined view of her perfection fits the dual nature of Melania's projected image and the real person.

Drump and his illusionary ramblings which become his apparent reality parallel Cervantes' story (imo).
Except, of course that Quixote, though insane, had some valid high ideals (none with drump) and unfortunately
our Quixote has been placed with enormous actual power to do harm through his manifestations.

The parallels are remarkable down to the coincidence of the name Don matching Quixote's title. Except for the idealism and intended values of the Cervantes character, as you pointed out.

The Drumpf Quixote's verbal jousting with windmills brought the parallels to mind for me even with Melania and Dulcinea. Didn't come uo with equivalents for the faithful but sane and pragmatic sidekick, Sancho Panza, since Trump's advisors seem cut from the same cloth as he is. Or for Rocinante, the broken down farm horse passed off as a trusty steed. Perhaps someone else would know who or what fills those places.

Allowing for the time span difference, there is even a parallel in Quixote creating his own reality through too many romance novels and Trump watching too much Fox TV and browsing too many nutcase websites.
