(100,057 posts)1. That is a super creepy scene.
That whole movie is weird, but that scene stands out above all else. I love the CinemaSins video where they added 10,000,000,000 points for that scene.

Donald Trump's "Home Alone 2" scene cut from Canadian TV
By Christopher Brito
December 26, 2019 / 12:22 PM / CBS News
President Donald Trump's cameo in the 1992 movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" was cut from a Canadian television channel's recent broadcasts. The scene shows Mr. Trump walking through the Plaza Hotel in New York City which he owned at the time as actor Macaulay Culkin's character Kevin McCallister stops him to ask for directions.
Twitter users watching the movie on CBC this holiday season pointed out that Mr. Trump's scene didn't appear. The CBS-owned site Comicbook.com reported the broadcaster acknowledged cutting the scene and provided an explanation.
"As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format," CBC said in a statement.
Mr. Trump recently mentioned his appearance on the iconic holiday film while talking to military members in a teleconference on Christmas Eve."Well, I'm in 'Home Alone 2,' and a lot of people mention it every year, especially around Christmas," he said.

I'm sure they do, but I'm equally certain that the context is most likely more along the lines of "Why the fuck is he even in this?"

(2,945 posts)4. On a more reality based note, the people who bought the rights to use Trump's name to put
on their real estate properties and other merchandise may be thinking differently since Trump's impeachment. I wonder if the contract giving them this right contains a morals clause allowing them to remove Trump's name from their properties and merchandise without risk of getting sued by Trump now that he's been impeached? He'll always be impeached; he just may not be removed from office.
