CNN: "Armed parishioners saved 'untold number of lives.'" (Church shooting #4432)

You really gotta wonder, wtf Earth's more
civilized countries must think about Mad America.

I bet the Student Exchange Program must have been forced shut down by now.

a shooter at a church in White Settlement, Texas, was taken down by parishioners with guns seconds after he began firing Sunday.

Those parishioners, who were also volunteer members of the church's security team, are able to carry guns into church due to a law passed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in response to another deadly church shooting that took the lives of 26 people in 2017.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick referred to the law during a Sunday night press conference, saying that it was passed following the deadly shooting at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs. It took effect in September, Patrick said.

designated 'security' changes frequently and is voluntary. When we are being 'security' it just means we have to focus more on the security aspects such as someone coming in late.

It isn't like we are outside contractors and paid for protecting our church.

That a church has to have armed security is just wrong. But there you go. America in 2019.

Next. The security saw the guy acting strangely. Great work, guys. Then you, what, let him take out a gun and shoot people?

When did the take note of this guy and his behavior? Did no one approach the guy before he started shooting and escort him out? Did they want him to start shooting before they could play Rambo?

Sure, sure, I get it. They may have saved lives. But tell that to the dead churchgoers. That said, I will bet that the families of the murdered people will thank the security for what they did and for saving who they did. Because guns.

And here's a question for the therapists among us. How do people who justifiably kill other people in these sorts of circumstances deal with the aftermath? Are they perfectly fine with it? And do reactions vary based on circumstances, religion, race, etc.?

Also, gotta love the name, even though it may not be race-related: White Settlement.

He already had a criminal record. Whatever method he used to acquire that gun must be stopped.
