Sadly, my first reaction to tonight's news of our targeted assassination of Iran's Qud force

director was "Well, there it is---Trump has his war!"

And, later, when the official US statement about the attack was read and predicated the attack as a "defensive" strike necessary to prevent planned attacks on our personnel, my reaction we---and is---disbelief. Until it is corroborated by sources not allied with or beholden to Trump, I will not believe any such justification for an act of war without Congressional approval.

And, make no mistake: we are worse off than leaderless. The man who is claims Constitutional authority to "do whatever he wants" not only will use the coming war for his own political advantage, he has control of our nukes and has often questioned why he can't use them.

The United States of America has been placed in mortal danger by the idiot in the White House and he has no idea what to do about it.

“It would be treasonous to impeach a president while our troops are in danger.”

Since the bastard put them in danger for just this reason, it would be even more treasonous to not impeach, remove, send to the war zone and issue a key to the potato peeler to him. We can even waive age, retention control point and weight regulations so Private Trump will be able to peel spuds until he’s the last man in theater.

Showing up in public, in the daytime, in a foreign country, at the scene of an attack that he planned on an American embassy was the tipping point IMO. That’s way too brazen to let it slide. That man planned the killing of many Americans and Iraquis.

Folk, I don't even think there is a strategy here. I am hearing on the news he did not consult with Congress, did not consult with our allies (there are still troops from many nations serving there, keeping the peace at our behest), nor did he advise any of the same.

Did he consult with his staff, Defense and Intelligence Agencies, State Department, diplomats? I really can't imagine him doing that. Some Wormtongue like Steven Miller or Rudy or Putin is whispering to his addled mind.

It is frightening that our Commander In Chief can be goaded into committing an Act of War by a segment on Fox and Friends.

The paranoid is strong in that thought.

And not a defense in any court of law, unless you can provide irrefutable proof, and in this case, there has been none forthcoming. Just Trump saying 'bad guy, I no like, I kill!'

Meanwhile gasoline prices today (Adelaide, Australia) have peaked at $1.75 AU per liter. That's US $ 4.65 per US gallon.

Venezuela for logistics and oil, Iran more for rallying his base. It's harder to convince people that Venezuelans are terrorists. North Korea photo ops were a cover. Funny thing, is that when something you expect to happen, happens, it still seems like you are not ready for it. I went to a protest today in Nebraska, but I am still kinda in the "what next?" frame of mind. What's really weird, is that I am thinking of what Trump will do, as much, if not more so than the Iranians. This edition of the apprentice is a drag.
