Notice how cavalier he is about it all? He totally has the "I'm going to take my toys and go home because the president has some 'splainin' to do" attitude, just like his followers.
However, a savvy candidate, like, say, Obama, would say with a smile on his face, "Absolutely! I bet it'll be a powerful speech with lots of hopes and dreams, but in the end, it'll be the same old rhetoric with no delivery and I'll know what to refute tomorrow."
Anyhow, you know he'll probably watch it anyway.

(31,849 posts)When I played high-school football, we had the same routine: Monday ... watch films of the previous week's game, than a light run through of the coming week's game plan - No pads; Tuesday ... run through the game plan in pads, 1/2 speed; Wednesday ... run through game plan - full speed; Thursday ... Watch film of our opponent, emphasis on our keys, run through game plan - 1/2 speed; Game Day ... watch film clips of our opponent, emphasis on our keys, get taped up, get pysched up - Go play.
We did the same routine for every game, every season for my 4 years on the team ... Until week 3 of my Senior year.
Monday was the same. Tuesday was the same. Wednesday was the same; but Thursday ... no film, just a chalk-board display of the opposing team's sets and our keys, then we ran through our game plan, with an emphasis on our keys, at 1/2 speed. Friday ... No film ... same chalk-board display of their sets and our keys.
(We all figured that the projector was broke)
Then, we came out of the visitor's locker-room and after the first series, it became clear why the coach had not shown us the films ... We were playing the biggest, fastest, hardest hitting team we had ever faced.
The coach, in his wisdom, did not want us to KNOW what we faced.
