day after close to a million of us travelled to DC for The Women's March.
Shouldn't we be returning?
During the Nixon investigation, when you could still drive past the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue, citizens were encouraged to "honk for impeachment" and the noise was sometimes non-stop. There were marches of sign-toting protestors demanding Nixon's resignation. I personally saw Michigan Avenue in Chicago filled curb to curb for many blocks with protesters led by a huge banner reading "Nobody Wants A Crooked Dick!"
Today, we sit quietly in front of screens of various sizes and tap out our outrage. I have already heard the empty streets and our silence characterized as "America doesn't care".
I do. What's the world record number for a "flash mob"? 72 hours notice would be helpful.

(19,382 posts)This is a 3-day weekend and next weekend is March For Life. I think planners wanted the two events separate.

2020 WOMEN'S MARCH Jan. 18th
Mark your calendars, the 4th Women's March has been planned around the US and the world. The original leaders and agenda are back (no more personal political agendas, those people are gone). The theme is Women Rising. Check the link often for a "sister march" near you. Some marches have not been posted on the map but are happening none the less (like the San Diego one I signed up for a few months ago). Check Fakebook for your own home town too.
Spread the word and bring some friends! RESISTANCE IS PATRIOTIC!
