So I got invited to support a GoFundMe campaign to challenge Steve Cohen for his seat in Congress.

This dude genuinely is a good person. We've been friends for 40 years, were inseparable in and for a while after high school, and were roomies in our early 20's. He's got a heart of gold, and I love him like a brother, but he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, which largely accounts for his being a Republican, which is in and of itself enough reason for me to be completely unwilling to support him running against Cohen (for whom my best friend worked on the Hill).

This is the same guy who told me that he supported Trump because he wanted the government to be run like a business, and "government and business are both all about checks and balances"....

As in "checkbooks and balance sheets".

I shudder at the thought of more people in Congress who are that ignorant of basic civics.
