Senate investigators have reportedly interviewed a whistleblower at the Internal Revenue Service who has said the audit of the president or the vice president was the subject of improper political interference. The Washington Post reports that the whistleblower’s complaint alleges that at least one political appointee at the Treasury Department may have tried to tamper with an IRS audit of Donald Trump or Mike Pence. The interview is reported to have happened in recent weeks, and the whistleblower gave transcribed remarks to the offices of Sens. Charles E. Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Wyden (D-OR), who are the chairman and highest-ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee. The complaint was first disclosed in an August court filing by Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA), the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, as part of his lawsuit against the Trump administration to force the release of the president’s tax returns.

Grassley will ignore it as much as possible in the hope it goes away. Don't know about the others.

Investigations of the executive branch are now illegal.

Grassley doesn't want a mean tweet from his dicktator.

False/fraudulent tax returns can be charged criminally. If that is why the interference, then fuck 'em again.

like the proverbial toilet paper stuck in the bottom of their heel. And for a LOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGG time.

Heck, I saw file footage of Howard Baker interviewed toward the end of his life (died in 2014) and he didn’t even look like himself! He was the guy in the Senate Watergate hearings who first asked the question: “what did the president know, and when did he know it?”

And at that late date (of the interview) he was STILL answering questions about Watergate - something that came to a head in 1974.

This will follow THEM ALL. Til they breathe their last. EVERY. LAST. ONE. of them. And of the many offenders who designed, steered, or enabled the whitewash job we’ve been witnessing, that will never end.

They’ll wish and hope that we all will forget and get over it and stop caring about this justice denied, and move on.

And they’ll be W-R-O-N-G.
