that the front desk let that fly. I worked in the front office of a high end dds practice for 21 years...I would only allow neutral programming on our tv...food network, hgtv, travel channel. Folks are nervous enough going to the dentist...the news, especially Faux is too stressful

History Channel - no problems. Fox was actually skewing blood pressure and heart rates in some vets.

The choice would be between sitting and (not) grinding my teeth, though, or asking the staff to turn the TV off, or doing it myself. Nuts to the hall.

Hope the rest of the appointment's the nice part.

A doctor's office we went to for a while had the TV supplied with some kind of inane health-oriented drivel that was so stripped of information that it couldn't offend or alarm anyone. Except me for the insult of imposing soothing, pointless ignorance on customers.

I'd have preferred Fox. Seriously.

Shows a video about getting veneers and dental implants over and over all day. I too would prefer Fox. Thankfully I never have to wait too long there.

We--progressives, Dems--are too nice. Too willing to accommodate.

Fu*k that crap anymore. Turn it back or turn it off or turn it to a neutral channel.

We have to stand up for ourselves.

The smart move was just to walk away @ the time. Nothing I could say @ that time
would have changed his mind and it would have made other people uncomfortable.
