It appears that the White House Counsel does not know the vote count, if the rest of the Republicans do know?
That is a little strange. One might think the White House Counsel would be informed if they have the votes to not call witnesses?
But Sekulow is talking about calling witnesses? That would be irrelevant if they knew there was a vote for no witnesses.

If the trial finishes on Wednesday, that's fine. 5 days is a looooooooong time in politics.

Honestly, if they called witnesses, the Senate's investigation would probably be like the Kavanaugh "investigation." The House Managers would, of course, be superb, but I'm sure the Rethugs would find a new way to "lamar" around it.
Actually, that's a fun game to play: how many verbs can we make make from this impeachment!
Anyway, this is better (and sadder) than a John Grisham novel! If they won't call witnesses, let the witnesses speak another way...one drop at a time.

Then again, Moscow Mitch probably knows he would have lost control of the situation. This way trump can't blame him.
