In our Entertainment Age, Humor is the Way to beat Trump

We live in an age of entertainment, purchasing, decadence. (Think the capitol in the Hunger Games.) We are addicted to our screens, action-movies, college football, superbowls (with nude dancing), mascara, "reality TV."

Rather, than fight it, embrace it as Trump does. He is nothing but an entertainer.

The way to beat Trump is to:
Employ a Democratic PAC to do nothing but ridicule and taunt Trump. Hire a singular comedic spokesman like the Geico lizard to star in ads that mercilessly joke Trump's tan lines, his hair, the crazy comments, the wacky inconsistencies. This would cause Trump a nervous breakdown and peel off some of his support, possible eliciting the Emperor has no clothes realization. The above allows the democratic candidate to stay focused on policy.

Given the nature of the economy (regardless of who is responsible for it), doom and gloom from the Democratic candidate is not likely to get it done in 2020, despite what National polls (which are worthless) say.

How about a barrage of Pinocchio ads with an orange Trump Pinocchio telling some of his most famous lies and his nose growing?

We need ads that will reach the young voting public, motivate them to go vote, and shame young Republicans amongst them socially for their support of such a joke of a "man". Humor is a great way to reach them - humor mixed with the cold hard truth.

One of the dumbest things we do is distancing ourselves from our "stars" simply because the GOP mocks them. They mock them because they know just how effective they are at reaching millions of people who might otherwise not be paying attention. I would have a different musical act do the national anthem each night, stars doing introductions, etc and end each night with a live mini concert. Not only would this help us reach a huge audience but it would drive Trump crazy.

I'm totally with you on the humor, too. That is where we need to up our meme game on social media. I always share the funniest, most mocking memes on Facebook or Twitter. The Russian bots will be doing this for their side so we'll need to counter that by plastering social media with our best memes and jokes and sharing funny clips from Colbert, TDS, SNL etc, etc. We have so many resources we don't take advantage of and that repubs would kill for.

especially when it's used to mock and humiliate. I can't think of anyone who deserves that more.
