(5,926 posts)Are they trying to get people infected? Get them ashore, into safe quarantine where they are isolated.

(33,992 posts)Any confined space has both the benefit of keeping them from infecting others - and the challenge of infecting those within the group are not yet infected.
But everyone has their own room (or a room shared with 1-2 others), and plenty of fresh air space on deck.

(5,926 posts)Norovirus outbreaks for example. So you bring them on land, split them up, and isolate them. As it is they're spreading it among themselves. People will die from this strategy or lack thereof. And that could be prevented.

(19,558 posts)They're sleeping two to a room and four to a bathroom. They eat at a communal buffet daily, and they (needless to say) must remove their masks to eat.
Then these same crew are being sent out to serve the passengers. Last I saw 10 (maybe two updates ago?) crew had been infected. I don't doubt it's more by now.
It's not an ideal quarantine situation by far.

(16,162 posts)Its so immoral to force them to stay in tight corners with an epidemic. Only positive is, they are probably mostly young and fit. But powerless, mostly Indians.

(14,961 posts)Tons of inner cabins, some of them had only had one hour out on deck in two weeks, as of a few days ago, I'm unsure why. People are starting to question the recycled air.

(16,162 posts)4 bunks to a tiny room, narrow spaces, group dining, 4 to a bathroom.
And they are the ones preparing and delivering food to everyone else on the ship.
Leaving crew in there is cruel and stupid.

(33,992 posts)The ship did not shrink while on the water. If there were rooms for everyone when the ship set sail, there still should be rooms for everyone now.

(42,278 posts)They've been interviewed by national and international media and are reporting almost daily in our local paper.
The couples haven't seen each other as they're all confined to cabins. One of them is diabetic and has gotten medical supplies shipped to them in Japan. They praise the ship crew for their good service but have lots of concerns - not one of them has seen a doctor since the quarantine started.
