33. This is the best Valentine's Day I've had in a lot of years!

I don't have a significant other (got a divorce last year ), and I'm quite content with that. Okay, I'm not going to lie, I'm ecstatic about it.

I'm realizing and appreciating who and what are the positives in my life, and DU fits in that category.

And I want to say I'm happy for you, if YOU are happy about it......or at least will be eventually. During the whole process I went through so many peaks and valleys that I was in a constant state of nervousness. Now I'm almost a year out and absolutely love life. I'm learning so much about myself, and I'm learning to really love ME. Every time I hear that Selena Gomez song on the radio, "Lose You to Love Me", I think, yes, that's exactly it.

As an empath, I will say that loving anyone can be very painful, and it's not just the romantic love kind. But I'm so thankful that I have the capacity to love. It's what makes life rich. At least it's that way for me.

Every week I drive through a project in Colorado on I25 called The Gap. Sometimes it's pretty terrifying because of the narrow lanes, concrete barriers on both sides, and idiots who can't be patient and think they should speed. There are some electronic signs here and there along way, and sometimes they're quite amusing. It's nice to take a second to smile while I'm gripping that steering wheel.

I love this time of year at DU. It's great to receive hearts and especially to give them. I love that we try to make sure everyone gets at least one heart. I've seen posts how that has really uplifted the spirit for the person. We truly are family here. Love to all.
