They should lose donations. They have something that has been proven over and over again, but yet they still don't use it like they should. They'll take your money, but not a cure. Too much money to be made the other way. Fuck the feds. How can a dentist use Cocaine in their profession, but not Marijuana? All the lives that could be saved by a cheaper means. Since 1974, they have known that Marijuana shrinks tumors. All those lives possibly could have been saved.

And their board of directors is pretty impressive. with Sherry Lansing and Katie Couric and some other really amazing women. From their website: 100% of public funds go directly into research grants. A portion of the funds that are raised from major donations and third-party fundraising go towards administrative expenses and overhead. I'm ready to donate after reading about them!

I guess I'm a little unclear on how they define "public funds."

but we do have a good charity that donates tons of cash for good research lupusresearch.org but the MDA (one of my other illnesses) gets good press on labor day.

Seriously I'd rather not have any disease, but it is a tad unfortunate which ones get notice and which ones dont. If we spent less on wars.... we'd cure everything, or at least be a hell of a lot closer.

If you are donating to a disease based charity, or any charity for that matter, check them out before you give. There are good and bad charities and its a shame when people are giving out of the goodness of their hearts
