Debbie Wasserman Schultz has always been there for Gabby. Rushed to her side right after the shooting. Encouraged her during her convalescence. Steadied her during the DNC.

This is the power of love and friendship.

Brought tears to my eyes.

Watched it on C-Span and people were so overwhelmed, in the most positive and human way. I doubt we'll ever see anything like it again. Given the circumstances, I hope we don't.

Even for a grizzly old curmudgeon like myself, watching Gabby Giffords lead our delegates in the Pledge of Allegiance on the last night of our convention ... well, you'd do well to have a Kleenex handy.

. . . the family has mostly reported generally about the state of her intellectual recovery; sharing that there's progress and that she's still in the process of recovery.

I can understand the interest, but, look, I think it's just more dignified to keep that type of medical information to themselves and allow the former congresswoman her dignity and privacy.

for her return to politics, and wondering if that is realistic. Clearly, her speech has come back very strong.
