Democratic Party logistics with Sanders as the nominee...

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by USALiberal (a host of the General Discussion forum).

If Sanders is the nominee, hundreds of local/state level candidates and dozens of people in Congress will have to go against the party's "standard bearer". I wanted to start a discussion on how these people would be supported by the national Democratic Party apparatus? Does the Party even have the means to run two parallel operations like this or will these candidates be left to their own devices without Party support?

And, frankly, if he's seeking the nomination as a Democrat, that's what he's also running for - to be the head of the party. But he despises the party, and his surrogates despise it even more. I can't see a positive outcome in that.
