Overused phrase "The Perfect Storm," however

Here we are:

An illiterate anti-science dotard, overseeing the response to a highly contagious disease, utilizing an economic system that doesn't reward people for staying home while ill, whose chief concern is his golf game and reelection.

More like The Perfect Shit Storm.

Exactly what you are saying.

One event "over here" magnifies or multiplies the impact of an event "over there." And many of these seemingly unrelated events have underlying common denominators. Trump's incompetence magnifies the outcome of any disaster we face during his term.

As an aside, it's hard to find an up-to-date book on Global Warming that doesn't have a chapter or at least a section on pandemics. Time will tell if these two are related.
