And even if there were, preventing half the adults in america from going to work for even 2 weeks would so wreck wall streets profit margins that it would never be tolerated.

I'm sure in some states they'd be more than happy to cancel election day, but not all. Sometimes the best way to get people to do something is to tell them they can't.
