He hasn’t seemed himself lately with on-air flubs. Most likely due to his prostate and/or other health matters.

I saw the main portion of the show on Coronavirus, I hadn't seen this. I doubt it, they research this stuff far in advance.

NBC with several documented Complaints against on Air Talent as well as Producers and Directors who have and had been Harassing several Female rank and file workers as well as on Air Talent. This was in November, and as we found out yesterday,Jack Welch was running cover for the Tweetie.

I thought his video of Chris Matthews was terribly cruel. Matthews has great insight - he is lost in his thoughts about issues at hand - and his value lies in his insight. I stumble on my words and I'm not 74.

Also - Peatum Defeatum? Seriously? Pete had JUST suspended his campaign and Oliver couldn't manage to show some respect?

The previous week, he drew an analogy between our current healthcare system and a shit sandwich. Then he went after Pete - only one of the multiple candidates recommending a policy short of Medicare for All - and called it a shit sandwich with less shit and a dollop of guacamole on top. I didn't like it, but he was focused on the policy so I thought it was "within bounds".

This past week he was OUT of bounds. WAY OUT of bounds.

John Oliver is typically awesome. He needs to stop with the cruelty.

because I cut the cord and don't have cable at all now.

So the only recent thing I saw from Hardball was the video of him signing off. Others here said he looked angry but I thought he looked like he was choking up - my gut feeling just from watching his face was that he was dealing with criticism, yes, but even more he had come face to face in some way with senility, with coming to terms with no longer being competent to do the job. And then when I saw the cut to the producer looking caught off guard, I was more convinced it wasn't a forced-into-retirement situation because of the inappropriate comments.

I hadn't seen this clip either - and maybe it's confirmation bias. But it does make me feel even more sure that he's in the early stages of cognitive decline - and aware of it.
