My vote this morning in Dallas TX

I live in an old black neighborhood in Dallas. I'm an old white lady 73 yrs in 2 weeks. My polling place is in an old black church just down the block. I went at 7:30am, but they had power problems with the machines. So I went back at 10:30am. There were 3 pages for POTUS candidates, and Biden was the very last one. He got my vote. I voted for Royce West for senate, because Hegar's web site had not positions about anything. That turned me off on her. I hope West does well, but I really don't think that Texas is ready for a black senator. Good grief, Longview keeps re-electing Louie Gohmert and rejecting Shirley McKellar, a wonderful intelligent black army vet.

The polling place was busy, but never more than 2 or 3 waiting in line at each of 2 touch screens. We insert a paper ballot that prints our choices. Then we insert the paper ballot into a scanning machine. I like having a piece of paper associated with my vote.

early voting, but I had one page, and the candidates were in alphabetical order. We have the optical scan, where the ballot is marked, and you put it into the machine. We've had no problems...that we know of...with our elections. I hope things go well for everyone today.
