Romney could derail Republican subpoena targeting Bidens

Sub-headline: The Utah Republican is concerned the push appears intended to undermine a Trump rival.

A Republican effort to subpoena records about Joe Biden and his son Hunter could be derailed amid concerns from at least one GOP senator that the push appears politically motivated.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee is set to vote next Wednesday on a subpoena for records from a Democratic public relations firm related to the panel’s investigation of conflict-of-interest allegations against the Bidens.

But Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), a member of the panel, has hinted that he could vote against issuing the subpoena, noting the committee’s investigation might look political in nature given Biden’s resurgence and the increasing likelihood that he’ll become the Democratic presidential nominee.

“There’s no question the appearance is not good,” Romney told reporters, adding that he is still “considering” his vote.

On this Senate committee, the Repukes hold a slim margin -- 8 to 6 in favor of the Repukes. If Romney sides with the Dems, a 7 - 7 tie means that the subpeona would not be issued by that committee. Romney made his objects known after MF 45 announced on Faux Snooze that the purpose of doing this was to use the information against Biden if he became the Dem nominee.

You know perfectly well that this is completely political and improper.

I never thought I would wish that Mitt Romney were our President - but I would certainly trade the current infestation in the Oval Office for Mitt.

20. dems could get biden's back in these states by punishing those R senators
Thu Mar 5, 2020, 11:16 PM

if those senators would pay $1000 for a 1 hr radio infomercial on a limbaugh talk station the 18 universities below endorse 47 limbaugh stations worth about $4MIL/WEEK. FREE to those senators and they need to be protested until they stop broadcasting sports on those stations. the $ after the state is for ONE WEEK's worth at 15 hrs/day. that would be the value of support those shit for brains senators get from those stations - and limbaugh led the way with the deep state anti biden crap.

they could not survive without their rw radio advantage

mega limbaugh station 850KOA in denver may have had to demote limbaugh last september after years of low level activism around the university of colorado. KOA may have acted preemptively to avoid copycatting by broncos and rockies doing the same thing.

from fakenewsradio.org

if one uni announced it was starting to look for alts it would catch on. there are aat leasst 87 unis doing the same shit for 260 limbaugh stations. the gop would be screwed without that advantage.

they would lose the senate easily.
