A question for the class... Say the Dow drops below 20,000....

So we can agree, I think that this crash is not good news for the Orange Asshole.

But at what point does support for him among the investor class collapse? I mean, they are taking it in the shorts right now (and so is my 401K), but so far, they've supported him. If the Dow drops through the psychological 20,000 barrier, do they finally abandon him and embrace the steady, competent leadership offered by the Democrats (we're hear to clean up the GOP's mess.... AGAIN).

4. Exactly.

They have to have it affect them personally before they take it seriously.

5. Down to when

Obama left office now. It is hurting most everyone because most have retirement funds invested.

15. Which is a bad measure

Those of us who are saving for retirement have been investing all during the run up. If we were investing to get the 50% return that Trump was mocking us for not getting, then the situation would even be more dire.

This is my go to Trump quote. We need campaign ads around it.

Trump: STOCK MARKET AT ALL-TIME HIGH! HOW ARE YOUR 401KS DOING? 70%, 80%, 90% up? Only 50% up! What are you doing wrong?

7. Republican assholes will say we need Trump to see us through this crisis

And his fuckhead cultists will reaffirm their worship every chance they get.

It's unrealistic to think that a mere worldwide bio-economic catastrophe will shake their faith in the worthless orange asshole.

9. Answer- What happened after Obama's steady leadership restored confidence in the markets

after Bush II. Were investors grateful to him and the Democrats?

11. Boycott and announce all sponsors of the propaganda channel on twitter for boycott?

...an easy starting point?

Forget anything else, that is the main source keeping this insanity alive?

13. The Dow closed at 19,827.25 on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, 2017.

Therefore, the Dow below 20,000 eliminates ALL of the gains since that day.

Naturally, Trump's worshipers will rationalize and make excuses to convince themselves nothing is his fault, he did everything right, and things would be much worse if Hillary was President.

14. For the hard core types, you're right....

I'm thinking more of the ones who justify their support based on their wallet. Lots of the investor class are amoral. They don;t care what he does as long as he makes them money. But if he's not.... do they seek more stable leadership?

...for giving them a good buying opportunity.

The rest of his cult will blindly worship him for sticking it to George Soros.......

17. Hitler had about 20% support when the Russians were fighting street by street in Berlin

Just sayin'...

Of course, that's the rubes. The German investor class was done with Hitler after Stalingrad.
